This, and my heart (2000)
Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design

On one wall are nine oval frames, two containing black and white photographs, seven containing phrases excerpted from (19th and early 20th century) diaries of young women who lived in Providence. Below the frames are the diaries themselves. In the center of the room is a 19th century organ that has been altered so it contains a display case. The organ and objects in the display cases relate to the narratives in the historical diaries. Another part of the installation contained photographs and diaries of eight students from Mount Pleasant High School in Providence.

Room size: 18'w x 27'l x 20'h.
Photographs, diaries, etched glass, black silk, oval frames, altered organ containing small objects, fiber mat.
